Parngutilla (Park 8)

Parngutilla (Park 8) is an olive grove. The olive groves here are particularly important due to their age – they were amongst the first tree plantings in the Park Lands in 1856.

Fun Fact

These historic groves could supply more than half a million olives and 450 litres of olive oil each year.

Did you know

In 1884 the plantation had 900 olive trees. Now there are around 300, still producing oil!
