A public heated, SALTWATER, 50 mtr pool in the city: western parklands - similar to the Andrew Boy Charlton Pool in Sydney - to be used by those working in the city for fitness and or relaxation, families and as a city destination for cyclists who want to cross-train.

SWANK Wi-Fi Enabled Cafe that also attracts professional business people

The pool could also act as a secure Cycle Depot for city commuters with bike shop and cafe facilities at the pool.

Would be nice to see it built on higher ground, like a mound that hid services and the bike depot, showers, change rooms and lockers beneath at entry and possibly a gym beneath the pool and built into the mound that looks out over the parklands and/or West Terrace>

Would be great if the landscaping of 'The Mound', was done in such a way that it could be used as a local designers and craft market - similar to the Bowerbird Markets, Port Douglas Markets, or the streets of Paris. Could also be used as a performance space, or a location for a Parkour training space.

Could work in with Esta Park Netball Stadium or Santos Stadium with a bike path linking the facilities.

Wirrarninthi (Park 23)

Wirrarninthi(Park 23) is not just the home of the West Terrace Cemetery but also contains a sporting field, cricket nets, the Glover playground and an interpretive trail.

This park is a great spot to experience a relaxing natural environment whilst still being in the heart of the city.

What's happening in the park lands?
