I would like to see the horse agistment area moved from Nantu Wama (Park 6) to Victoria Park. In conjunction with TRSA, I would like to see the racecourse restored, with multi-use stables that could be used for racing, the Adelaide International 3 day event and also hired out to people who want to ride in the parklands. If a viable operator was found, a small horse riding school could then possibly operate on site, similar to riding through Central Park in New York. This could, over time, become a state horse centre.

In addition, I would also construct a multi-use dual sided stand that could be used for the Clipsal 500, horse racing / other horse events and other events in general.

As a result of this, Nantu Wama (Park 6) could then be returned to general parklands use.

Victoria Park/ Pakapakanthi (Park 16)

Victoria Park/Pakapakanthi is home to a diverse range of activities, facilities and events that make it one of the Adelaide Park Lands most attractive parks. The recent development saw the establishment of several cricket and soccer fields as well as a fitness circuit, cycling track, BBQ facilities, public toilets and off-leash dog area.

This park also plays host to several events across the year including the Clipsal 500 and Australian International 3 Day Horse Trial.

What's happening in the park lands?
