A place where children and school groups can go to play and learn. Not sure what ever happened to the Investigator Science Centre but it should be brought back, and in the city parklands where the natural resources can act as an interactive workshop environment. Tours of the parklands by biologists could provide real life lessons on how the environment works. You could provide microscopes and Bunsen burners in labs for students to complete experiments on a scale that most schools (particularly primary schools) are not funded to provide. I have excellent memories of visiting the Science Centre numerous times throughout my childhood, including as a fun school holiday excursion. Also, it promotes a positive engagement with science in future generations, which could help addressing future issues with the environment, and create a culture of learning and passion for science!
