I absolutely love to run in the Park Lands, but the fact of the matter is, it isn't safe.

Running clubs and individuals using the Park Lands does make it safer, but you practically have to be Speedy Gonzales these days to keep up with the pack.

If places like Victoria Park and the Uni Loop where well lit, using the Park Lands in winter or after hours in the dark, would make it much safer and social to exercise and get out doors by deterring criminal behaviour and increasing passive surveillance because people will be utilising the space.

Victoria Park/ Pakapakanthi (Park 16)

Victoria Park/Pakapakanthi is home to a diverse range of activities, facilities and events that make it one of the Adelaide Park Lands most attractive parks. The recent development saw the establishment of several cricket and soccer fields as well as a fitness circuit, cycling track, BBQ facilities, public toilets and off-leash dog area.

This park also plays host to several events across the year including the Clipsal 500 and Australian International 3 Day Horse Trial.
