I would love to see every weekend of the year (excluding Clipsal 500 and Adelaide Fringe) the Rymill Park area turned into a social place where food carts are permited to serve food in a "Royal Adelaide Show / festival" styled environment. you could have low-costs to regular food carts (who trade regularly), OR for new businesses who want to test run their food products and get feedback, they could be permitted to do it for free! They would be able to set up shop from friday afternoons through to say 10pm Sunday evenings. (or even weekday afternoons from 4:30pm-9pm) I think another thing which would be brilliant for this style of venue, would be open mic night. you could have a few stages set up, say 1 for comedy, 1 for music, 1 for misc or something. This would be great for local up-and-coming artists who like the food vans, want to try out their craft to see if its something they could pursue on a bigger scale :) But overall a general area where people can come out over the weekend, try new foods enjoy a bit of music or laughter in a family friendly environment (with dry zones in place)

Rymill Park/ Murlawirrapurka (Park 14)

Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka is one of the Adelaide Park Lands most used parks. Its features include the Rymill Park lake and kiosk. It is also home to a playground, BBQ facilities and a rose garden.

Several major events are hosted in the park across the year including the Adelaide Fringe, Clipsal 500 and Tour Down Under.
