The many temporary event pavillions popping up and down to support the Festivals, car races and so on, present a great opportunity to make wonderful, memorable, and experimental pieces of architecture. These small projects could give young designers opportunities and also let Adelaideans see what is possible.
The Serpentine Pavillion in London is a great example: 10 years of annual temporary gallery spaces each designed by great architects. importantly they offer places for people to enjoy the summer and enjoy the park.
Remember Red Square from the Fringe back in the 1990's?
